Our Clinic Policies

Appointments:  Appointments are encouraged to cut waiting time, but walk-ins are welcome as well. Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. We are open for scheduled appointments from:

  • Monday to Friday: 8 am - 4 pm
  • Saturday: 8 am- 12 pm

Please keep in mind we are not an emergency hospital, if possible it is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your particular necessity.

Surgery: All surgeries must be scheduled by appointmentWe require prior examination of the pet being scheduled for surgery as well as updated vaccines and heart-worm test/ prevention.

Types of Pets Seen:  Dogs and Cats

Open Hospital: Affordable Pet Clinic operates an open hospital. This means that our team welcomes owners to be with their animals during routine procedures. How ever we limit number of persons coming with a patient to 1-2 to prevent unnecessary distraction of the staff and doctor. We provide estimates for all surgeries and hospitalizations and the staff will explain each charge and may provide you with options to choose. If you have not received an estimate, you are welcome to request one at any time for your expected charges.

Payment Policy:  We require full payment at the time that services are rendered. For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, American Express, Care Credit, and Cash. We don't accept checks.

Patient Arrival Policy: For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the reception area or exam rooms.  All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash. Please keep an eye on your pets at all times.

Prescriptions and Prescription Refills: Federal law requires that we must examine your animal prior to prescribing or dispensing most medications.  An annual examination and/or blood tests or other procedures may be required to refill most prescriptions. These requirements are for your pet’s safety. AND IT’S THE LAW. Your understanding in this matter is appreciated. If you have questions about refilling a prescription please do not hesitate to call us.
